Couple of recent gig pics with my Genzler stack.

Question: A friend has a BA 12 rated at 350 watts. He wants to buy a used Magellan 800. He's worried about blowing the array because of the missing 50 watts.

I told him don't crank it, but he's a worrier. He's not on TB, but being as I kinda wonder as well, I thought I'd ask the people who know.

Hey Jeff ... I'm thinking about adding a BA10 series 2 on top of those BA 12s. Would it make it significantly more punchy with a BA10? More midrange? Have yet to try a 10. Have heard nothing but good things about them.
@Troy Cartledge --- Thanks for considering expanding your GENZLER rig. yes, I do think adding the little Series 2, BA10-2-S2 cab on the BA12 cab would do just that. For one, the smaller 2" line array drivers will offer you that articulate mid clarity as well as more top end sparkle, but the punch of that 10" will help to fill out that low mid punch area. And the fact of this smaller cab on top of the BA12 would get this cab projecting closer to your "listening range" on a performance stage.
Hope this info is helpful.
Don't hesitate to reach out with other specific questions.

Hello @Old Blastard --- from one, to another, please tell your friend that these 2 products were designed to work together and that you don't need to be concerned in matching watts in that regard. This "old bastard" always wants more power in the power amp than the cabinet rating.
Feel free to have your friend email me directly from the website and I'm happy to assist with any questions they may have about purchasing our used gear.

Yeah, that’ll do haha. Hey how are you powering those? Aren’t the two 410’a alone combining for 2 ohms?
I am only using the 2 BA410-3 cabs (Series 1 & 2) in this photo. The BA210-3 came along for the ride!

Using GENZLER 4 ohm cabs, you can run the MG800 at 2 ohms. Many players like Joe do that without issue.

I initially thought he was running the three cabs. I knew one is able to go down to 2 ohms when pairing Genzler cabs to the MG800. In fact, I’m planning on getting another 15-3 and 12-3 to have a total of two 15-3’s and two 12-3’s as my rig. Only problem is I’m about $2k short right now haha.

Jeff, I have a BA2 210-3, a NC 210T, and two Hartke HD 210 cabs. All are 8 ohm. I know I could run three, but would running all 4 be possible or advisable? Probably not a situation where I’d need that, but who knows.
I know this is a different scenario from the one above since we’re talking about your cabs mixed with Hartke.
