Got the results of my biopsy back. I was fairly confident that it would be negative. Unfortunately, it came back positive. Doc recommended surgery. Got a 2nd opinion - same advice. My wife concurred.

I'll be having surgery next Tuesday. Everyone involved, including my wife, seem very sure that easy success is in cards.

One more thing....

Given all of the toilet talk, I once heard that a flush beats a full house.

Still no cigar but...our kitchen faucet works with a wave of the hand beneath the spout. What a time saver!!!!!
:woot:

My sister had one of those for awhile. Never would come on when you wanted it, then wouldn't shut off. I think there was a 1/4" square area to hit and it was a secret to where it was. Enough of that. Time for this:

Prayers on the way, bud! Take care of yourself and do what the docs and the wife say.

I had abdominal surgery to remove a tumor and a bunch of lymph nodes back in 2012. It was an indolent form of lymphoma, and a couple months later I started a course of chemo and antibodies. Did a year of that, then only antibodies for another year. All good, knock wood, since then.

I wish you a good surgery and recovery. During recovery, don't pet the sweaty stuff and don't sweat the petty stuff. One foot in front of the other, and just continue to march. You're still on the prayer list.

Our prayers go out to you. May He hold you in his hands and give the doctors wisdom and skill.

The school jazz combo starts back tonight! :bassist:

Finally have a couple of brass players and a bari player! Haven't had any in this group for a long time.
Trumpet, three altos, tenor, bari, t-bone and rhythm section sans guitar. Our vocalist is sitting out this semester - bummers.

The group will be split in half to meet the covid distancing guidelines. I'll have a bass player to mentor as well which is cool. I enjoy doing that. He was in the group way back in B.C. (before covid).

I have an original tune for the group to play with three horn parts. Will have to experiment with who plays what part but it should work. Here it is if you have nothing better to do. Horn parts are a little cheesy on the Finale playback. Hope we can borrow the vibes player from another group for the concert.

Playback from Finale (wav file). It should open and play without a download.

Nice! Any chance you could export the score to MusicXML? I'd like to see what it sounds like in Notion (I own all of their sound libraries).
