Hi Guys,
I was thinking of buying a Hartke 2x10 XL to add when needed to my Laney RB4 combo when needed.
On one side the 210s are out of stock here and on the other as everything else here... they are not cheap.
So I started thinking about the possibility of getting a cab built. My first idea was a 2x10 but checking speaker prices I could see that 12'' or 15''s cost almost the same as a 10" so it would be double the investment to use 2 10s.
So the question is..... How would a 12" do? Will it add some punch or it will be better to just go with a 15". The area where the 15' speaker in my Laney combo is measures: Heigh: 43cm (aprox 17 inches), width: 50cm (aprox 20inches), depth: 33cm (aprox: 13.5inches). Using the same dimensions seems I can have another 15" cab in a relatively small size.
Another thing, what would be a good speaker to use depending on the size chosen? Please let me know brand and model. Thanks in advance.
I already had a 4x10 and I dont want to go that way again. Sound was good but to bulky and heavy to carry around.
Rgds.
