Getting EMG in Canada

Alright, so I am looking at EMG 40CS and 40DC with a BQS System preamp for my ESP LTD D5 5 string bass, but my local guitar store (which is on the expensive side) has quoted me for some crazy prices. $155CND per pickup + another $280 for the preamp. That seems like crazy talk to me seeing as US retailers have that preamp for as little as $133 USD and a Canadian retailer has them for 115 on special order, and I have never ordered from them before (would take a long time to get them). Anyone have any good places to go for EMG's in Canada (preferably southern ontario in the greater Toronto area) Or places that offer good shipping to Canada? Thanks if you can point me in the right direction.

Oh, and a side question. I did some searching on the forums for good pups for heavy metal, and didn't come up with much. I came up with these EMGs and maybe some bartolini. Any other suggestions are welcome. Thanks!
