I never did the tapering jig ...or not yet, I should say. Currently I draw the taper using templates made from fretfind, transfer this shape to the blank watching the centerline closely, bandsawing to within 1/16" or so outside the line, then use a piece of MDF with some toggle clamps to mount the neck aligning the straight MDF edge with the line, then clean up with the router ...repeat for the other side.

Same here Wilser, except I use a piece of freshly jointed hardwood. This way works out incredibly well for me.

I guess you could call this a jig.....for bending fretwire before pressing it in. Saves ~$75 over the StewMac version for you guys who buy yours straight.
