Ghosts (Real or Bull)

Read history a bit! There are plenty of researches on the subject and not necessarily from loonies. In every secondary school text book (at least in French) you read about the role of secret societies in WWI (ever heard about “Archiduc Francois Ferdinand”?
To acknowledge that doesn’t mean I give credit to every conspiracy theories or conspiracy TV programs, or even ghost stories under the sun! I was precisely calling for restraint from incivilities. Mods help may be needed!

I strongly believe that ghosts are real, because of the things I have seen with my own eyes. I've seen figures suddenly disappear, seen things move of their own accord, etc..
One particular story in particular:
I was staying at a friends house for the night and lying on their couch when I felt as though someone was staring at me. When I opened my eyes there was a tall man in a black top hat and black suit leaning over the couch and looking down at me. I just stared and the second I blinked, he was gone.
The next morning I asked my friends if they had ever heard any weird noises or anything (I was very vague) and they both stopped and looked at me and asked, "Why? Did you see the man in the top hat?"
I hadn't said I had seen anything to anyone.
I have like a billion other stories, and anyone can argue them ( and I'm sure they will) but they were very real to me, and inexplicable other than being what people would call a "ghost", "spirit" or "entity".
That said.. I love and fear the paranormal.

I believe ghosts are absolutely real. I have had quite a few experiences that can not be explained by any scientfic means, a few of which have been experienced by other people. One happened with a group of people all witnessing the same thing, and the other happened by myself and another person at two separate times.

I don't believe these things need to be explained by scientists for me to believe they were 'supernatural,' for lack of a better word. Religions are based on many 'supernatural' claims but for some reason religions are a totally valid ideology to believe in, but if you believe in ghosts your crazy or ignorant to science.

I didnt think ghosts were real until I had several unexplainable experiences with other people. Who knows, in a hundred years there may be sceintific discovers to make me look stupid, but we dont understand, and wont ever understand, many things about reality and beyond. Just my two cents.

This is my theory on all things of this nature:
Why not believe, until they prove it wrong? I mean.. lifes too short.

oh my gosh....it really bugs me that people think this way. It shouldn't but dang it really bothers me.

Life's is too short to not believe in something that the scientific method cannot prove? WHAT!?

You know, what's troubling to me these days is that there are plenty of idiots out there who eat up stuff like Ghost Hunters and Conspiracy Theory like they actually have validity. I don't know how anyone could watch the moronic drivel that comes out of those shows and believe a word of it.

Whats troubling me these days is that for the longest time, people believed the world was flat...

Just because you can't logically explain it, doesn't mean there isn't a rational non-supernatural explanation.
