GHS Balanced Nickel strings

Round Core Bass Boomers had the balanced construction a little while back. You have to order them as singles to get the 45-60-80-105 or 40-55-75-100 balanced sets, but that's an option. Even if you get the packaged sets, they're more balanced than a typical 45-105 set would be.

The Pressurewound Bronze are also created in this way too. They work on an electric bass, but you'll need to tweak some settings as they're quieter than other, more ferrous sets.

The roundcore bass boomers no longer have the balanced construction?

Update: getting ready for my band's next annual trip to Mexico in February, I got out my short-scale travel bass to start rehearsals. Ohhhhhhhhhhh. The set of BPN's I put on about fifteen months ago, and has already been to Mexico last February, has mellowed and settled in nicely. They are taking on some of that wonderful woody, organic character that we associate with "golden era" Fender flats. Not thumpy. Since for the week we tend to play '60's and '70's songs for our setlist to cater to the average age of the membership of the sailboat club we play for, among other gigs, this is perfect.
