ghs flats

I've had my fender fretless jazz for a while now and it still has the strings on it from when I bought the bass. They could be up to two years old for all I know. I have never purchased a flatwound string before and I dont really know what to do. I want a flatwound for sure because i cant have my fingerboard chewed up.
I want a nice bright tone though, with a defined midrange, but not twangy.
Since i have ghs bass boomers on my fretted and I love how funky they are, I thought I might go with ghs brite flats
I have also been considering a titanium string

Any opinions on either? Good brand names for a titanium string? Any suggestions on brighter flatwounds are welcome too.

I have Brite Flats on my P bass. I love em. The Medium light actually have thicker top strings and a .103 for the E. I like the gauge and the tension. They feel good (You have to break them in) and they sound great! Here's a great source for them: Invalid Link Removed

I had a set of GHS brite flats on my fretless a couple of years ago, I thought they were a pretty nice set of strings, I have a little riff I recorded one day with them so you can hear the tone:

The bass/pickups are a Maya fretless P copy with what I presume are the original pickups, I don't know how old it is but its pretty beat up and has a fender replica headstock so I presume it was made before the copyright laws regarding that came in. It was recorded with a DI into my soundcard and unfortunately I can't remove the cheesy midi overdub.

I put a set of GHS Brite Flats on an SX Jazz that I was really not very happy with. After a short break-in period, that bass came to life. I really like them better than the Roto 66's I had on there previously. The GHS Brites were the 4th set of strings I've tried on this bass, and the only set I have liked. Great feel and consistency.
