GHS Precision Flats vs Labella 760FS - My Impressions

haven't expressed any desire for a 50 or a 110.

I desire a 0.050 - 0.110 GHS Precision Flat stringset. You can call them Fat Lip Flats! Wowie Zowie Ka-Powie!

For the 4s, the 45-105 set is my go-to pack. Tension and balance is just right for my setup. The 5s (34" scale) get the 45-126 set, which also sets up well. To get just a little more stiffness in the low B, would it be worth it to go up to, say, a .128 B, or would the effect be negligible at that diameter? Would a .130 be a better match?

With tolerances being what they are, unless the core wire diameter was larger between a .126 and .128, there will be little to any difference at all.

A .130 would be a little better, but again, it's going to come down to the core wire used. If you go from, say, a .026 core in the .126 to a .028 core in the .130, you'll feel a difference. If the core diameter stays the same between a .126 and a .130, you "might" be able to tell a difference, but it's going to be harder to notice.

Here I am 8 years later. The GHS Precison flats that I had on my LB100 in 2015 had been carefully removed and stored... for 8 years.
I was (am) in a 90s alternative band and using my 5 string Warwicks so I had sold all 3 LB100 G&Ls.
Fast forward to 2023... got the bug again for a P. Bought a brand new, in the box, Fender Player Precision for a bargain price. Out with the stock pickup... in with the Fender "Original '62" pickup new CTS pots and orange cap. Out with those cheesy tuners... in with the Fender Pure Vintage American tuners... and... on with the 8 year old GHS Precison Flats! Sound as great today as they did in 2015. What a nice bass! Pictures are before I put on the flats.
