My last two sets of PWs were both 1-yr-old when they came off with still some life left. If I can avoid the PWSDS by changing them out once a year, I'd be perfectly okay with that.

GHS Pressurewound: a set that never dies?

My last two sets of PWs were both 1-yr-old when they came off with still some life left. If I can avoid the PWSDS by changing them out once a year, I'd be perfectly okay with that.

Hoping this well Broken-in set will last me for several years in the state their in?? As long as they stay in tune Im happy with the tone, maybe their already dead which is fine with me!
That's why it's great to have such a wide variety of strings to choose from. What's your favorite set of strings?
This. I get about a year out of a set of GHS Pressurewounds.
Lowest tension and no clank are TI Jazz Flats.
Lately I’ve bedn using the light guage GHS Precision Flats. Nice solid but not too think fundamental with a touch of smooth mids. Sane level of tension. Not clanky either.
If you’re feeling adventurous I’d recommend Labella Copper White Nylons. I’ve never been one for tapewounds. But the white nylon series is not your grandpa’s nylons. Smooth and creamy with lovely complex mids and just a hint of chime on the top. These have become one of my favorite string sets. They don’t do a light guage set per se. Their light set is what most would think of as a medium gauge. But they don’t feel heavy when you’re playing them. Something to think about.
