GHS Pressurewound on my Stingray, Really?

Resurrecting an old thread. I'm a new owner of a SBMM Ray5 and I'm looking around for strings. It might be time I finally order some PWs…

Since the stock pup on ray5 sound smooth, warmer compare to Ray4, pressure wound possible make overall tone get duller, especially the B string . Just imaging the dead nickel roundwound bass string.....

Suggest Dunlop Super bright Nickel 45-125 or 40-120. Lasting, great tone , comfort stiffness and smooth string surface,

If you want smooth and slick string surface but better crunchy bite , you can't go wrong with both EB 2816 & 2810. I have a set 2810 on my previous Ray5, both B and E string has great solid tone and the B string sound useful great until 13th fret.
