Thanks! While I'm waiting my mentor to get well (I need guidance for winding the pups) I'm contemplating on whether to make pickup covers or leave them butt naked. I have some purple heart left, so they could be all PH. Or, I could make them equal to the neck laminates...This is a real beauty!
They could be the reverse of the laminate too. Thanks! Have to think about itThey could be the reverse of the laminate too.
Yeah, I can see it alreadyIt would produce a sort of offset checkerboarding effect
Thanks! At the moment there's a break on this instrument, I'm hoping to continue on it soon. Planning the pickup covers too...this is the most beautiful build!! definitely sub'd, can't wait to see more progress! Keep up the great work!
I somehow missed this question. Not schaller, but some Korean tuners.Very nice! Schaller tuners?
Agreed very muchI've never seen purple inlays before. Very very pretty with the maple.

Thanks! I'll probably route the pup covers next week, so there'll be a "mock up". I'll also try to see if I can make some sound clips after the pickups are wound. I just don't have the equipment, but maybe I can get a friend to record me.Wow, that looks amazing! More pics when you can, please! I love the inlays matching the neck stripes, very very nice looking.
Haha(I might go with oxblood rather than yellow for the chickenhead switch.)![]()
