Gibson Les Paul Bass

View attachment 3084036 For some reason Gibson hit the nail on the head with the 2013 Les Paul.
Love the headstock and the pickups just Rock.
I bought one just like your burst..loved it so much I picked up an Ebony..I'm on the lookout for a 2013 Gold top to finish out the set.
Rock that thing!!
Those are BEAUTIFUL!!! The weight is what keeps me away though.
If anyone wouldn't mind weighing one, it'd be much appreciated!

I have a 2007 flat top that I really like, some interesting sounds with TB type pickups.

This isn't the oversized body though, correct? I thought 2006 was when they stopped and then brought them back in 2011 (per the article above)? What is the scale length on this one?

Not 100% sure but I think the chambered oversized Standard starting in 2011 is 9.9 pounds.

Love 'em. I like the 90's flat tops witht the Lyre inlay on the headstock. Been on a hunt for a good deal on a clean one for over a year, one in wine red popped up on gc used, gone before I was going to pull the trigger later after some meetings.

These look great!

I had a Les Paul in the 70s, I thought it was a Triumph but I'm told it was a recording, I broke it after 2 weeks, I was gutted, it took me months to save up for.

The oversized body was only made between 2011 and 2013, it's a crying shame Gibson discontinued it as it was the best of them design-wise I think, a tad on the heavy side if that worries you (not me) between 10+lbs and as much as 14lbs depending on the wood and even chambered there is a lot of it in that body at 63mm thick in the centre, even at the edges it is 49mm thick, a good mass of wood to get that solid tone out.

These are two I'm in the process of making

Hope you find it! Be great to have the full trio. Can't think why famous bass players don't use them. A mate of mine reckoned the bass player in Europe did but not found any vids of this.
