  • Tremolo bar
  • Too many switches (maybe good for a guitarist. Bad for bassists). :)

I have no data, just my gut-
I would bet more guitarists than bassists bought this.
"Bass VI"...maybe "Bass" is pronounced like the fish in this instance?

Genuinely curious:
Has anyone here played this...with a band?

Apologies for thread hijack.
I play mine with an indie rock trio. I play standard bass lines, chords, and some lead lines and riffs. When set up correctly, these are versatile extended range basses.

Rufus Reid, jazz great and bass educator extraordinaire, used to play one of these back in the '70s. He loved the extended upper range that facilitated inventive soloing. As Jack Bruce came from a jazz background, he may well have had the same rationale.

Now, back to appreciation of the Les Paul Junior bass!

I’m just slightly sad I missed the $500 or was it $599? Blow out they had on these a few weeks back, but I wanted the blue, and it was $50 more than the other colors.

I’m purging my collection of contoured bodies, can’t stand em’. My Tony Franklin will be the only holdout.

I was lucky enough to score one on sale about six weeks ago. Its really a GREAT little bass. Simple, light weight, well balanced, excellent fit and finish, and sounds really, really good. Looks the business and is super-fun to play. No issues whatsoever with the three point bridge. A good value at $999 - a steal for what I paid.

I just received a blemished open box one from MF. "Super-fun to play" is spot on.
I find myself reaching for a pick every time I play it. It just feels right with this bass.
