Gibson RD Artist - Part 2

OK... The bass is now with me. The final price was US 867.00 $ with original Gibson Hardcase.

In my opinion the bass is very near to mint....around 95% to 98%.... The body, neck and headstocks are in outstanding condition...No visible scratchings, dents, dings, etc....

The bass was made on August 1978 and comes with manual and moog diagram sheet. The hard case is some dirty and the metal parts are very dirty (like superficial oxide)

The electronics (including the moog) looks great... ... The bass sounds powerful with a long sustain

The turning keys are some dirty.... may be it just only need a deep clean.

The main bridge screws has some wear. Looks like the previous owner has not screwdriver

The bass color is Fireburst and the body wood looks very beautiful and full of live indeed

The bass needs new strings: I have with me Will Lee SR2000 Dean markley (47 - 67 - 87 - 107) Could this strings work well with this bass? Or the best bet is to follow the recomendation some fellows did in my previous post ?

Please I want to hear your opinion about this bass I got. IE: actual real price...if i need to substitute the bridge screws -for original parts for sure, where to buy- etc... etc... etc

I think you got it for a great price. they usually sell for around $1000 or so.
I don't have an RD so I can't say which are best, although I think you should try some strings you already like and take it from there.
