I had an Epiphone version and hands down the worst neck dive I have ever experienced! No matter where I put the strap button it dove like an iron anchor! Even with my neoprene NeoTech strap which usually is great keeping basses put, not in this case. So bye bye!

Gibson completely dismissed the concept of the first class lever in any number of their designs. Works great on a guitar but never translated well to bass.

The singularly best approach would be adding an extension plate at the heel / upper horn to relocate the fulcrum. This was the approach Lynyrd Skynyrd embraced as each member had been "clipped in the left wing" during the crash. Steinberger and Bolin used similar design elements with success.
