It was more in reference to their follow up email, offering to "work with us". We got the C and D, and then a phone call the next day....if you still want to make it, we can work something out..... and then an email a couple hours later to help "persuade" us.
The choice is left to Thunderbirds, SG short scale for new models.
I just read an article that says Dean has countersued Gibson for damaging their relationship with their dealers. They're asking for maximum damages under the law and the removal of the trademarks for several of Gibson's models. So far I've only seen the one article. Media being what it is I usually don't fully believe anything until multiple news sources comment, but I thought I'd mention it.
IIRC Fender had some trademarks removed so it isn't far fetched.
