Gig Bag with Good Backpack Straps?

I am looking for an Electric Bass gig bag with good quality backpack straps, i.e. well padded ones. Preferably with tension straps as well to distribute the weight. Somewhere between $90-$110.

Its for my little brother who rides his bike everywhere and is having a hard time with his current case. I know that companies like Mono make awesome bags of this kind but they are in the $200 range. For a 14 year old its a bit steep and a lot of responsibility.

Ive been doing a lot of market research and I am not having a lot of luck. Someone recommended Bass Talk as a way to get closer to finding the Gig Bag Im looking for. Something between the $50 bags you find at most guitar retailers and the high end like Mono would be ideal.

Protec Contego: $80, lighter, very good protection.
Reunion Blues Continental: $165, heavier, bombproof.

Both have excellent straps and are extremely well built. If I had to do a lot of walking I'd probably prefer the lighter, more slim Protec. If I had a delicate instrument or I was traveling and throwing the bass around a lot I'd definitely choose the Reunion Blues bag. Both are well built, well designed and I don't think there's a lot out in competing price ranges there that can hold a candle to either one.

I have a BodyGlove bag that has the strongest and most comfortable straps I have found.
I've gone 70mph on the freeway riding my Harley with my Jazz strapped on my back. I am sure it will hold up to more but I couldn't hang onto the bike any more past 70. To much wind resistance with it sticking up so high.

Per the above post, the Pro Tec Contego is probably the best 'bang for the buck', and has true 'backpack' type straps with the chest tensioner strap. Not as high quality as the Mono, iGig, or Sadowsky, but less than half the price.

For a 14 year old, this bag will be really something IMO. I had a cardboard case for my first bass back in the day:D

I have a Mono and a Sadowsky bag and both are very well constructed with great straps. I will say the Sadowsky bag is quite heavy so those straps will get a workout. I Had a Protec bag that came with a Roscoe I had a few years ago. I was a very good bag. No complaints.

Yeah, I didn't realize that the new Sadowsky Porta-bag is quite heavier than the original one that I have. I believe the new Porta-bag is the same weight or even a touch heavier than the iGig, which is another nice bag that is on the heavy side.
