Gig clothes?

"Fecalcore"...eww. Sounds like I don't want to know what that is.

He dresses like that every day? Again...eww. I don't guess he gets much attention from females, eh?

Cherie

I'm in a band with him, I don't know his real name, (most people call him frost) and I never seen the guy in different clothes. No, he doesnt get much, if any attention from females.

LOL!

One thing I notice...I never see anyone over the age of 30 wearing those unless they're actually using them for pajamas.

Looking back at myself at 17 or so, when I performed, I would wear all manner of "weird" stuff. Come to think of it, I wore some pretty "out there" things to, like, you know...school.

Experimentation...one of the benefits of youth!

Cherie :)

Too true. I was jsut looking at some old gig photos from 12 years ago, when I went through my "wild experimentation with fashion" stage. Wow, and I thought I looked SO badass. :rollno:

I almost think that could be grounds for a new thread... Our worst onstage fashion faux-pas'. I'd start it, but they pix are at home and need to be scanned. Anyone want to step up in the meantime?

I dont want him wearing that either....

oh and I found out the drummers last name.

I looked at his drivers license. Unfortunately, he wrote Frost over his first name. But its liek Rubenstahl or something like that

I don't guess so!

Well...since y'all are so young...

If it isn't keeping you from getting gigs, and your audiences don't seem to have a problem, then don't make too many changes. I'd have Frostie get rid of the white power t-shirt, though.

As I'm sure you know, one way young people express themselves and their inner rebellion is clothing. Sounds like your bandmates have something to say with their clothing. So long as their statement isn't offensive, let 'em make it.

Cherie :) :bassist:

LOL!!! I don't know that I have any of those old pics left, but I can check.

There's a video out there somewhere with me in this early-80's punk getup...Well, *I* thought it was punk...:rollno: ;)

The singer quit/got fired today so thats one less thing to worry about.

The drummer IMed me last night and asked if erm... does blues rock get you... (insert girl part here)

I said yeah but not if you dress like an angry homeless man on halloween. We're practicing today. Lets see how it goes.

That's awesome news all around. Sounds like your problems might be self-correcting.

Sounds like you're making progress! One thing to keep in mind, stop me if this is a revolutionary concept, but the main goal if your objective is to gig is to SELL yourself to the audience! Which is going to be tough if you are all dressed like extras in a low budget horror flick. Cater to your audience, if they are all twits, by all means dress like a twit. :ninja:

Hey, I love heavy blues rock and aspire to play it more, but I'm married and it can prevent me from "getting any." Of course, it depends on the specific women, but in this day and age, it's not a safe style to bet on. 70s style fusion *might* drive the womenfolk away faster...as might any era of King Crimson, but I wouldn't lay money on it.

wait wait wait... hold on, the Drummer looks like that, calls himself Frost and claims to like something called fecalcore? is 28 and you are 17 ? the guitar player looks like a teenager as well. ummmmm

I would be worried that dude is a pedo...

at any rate... I cannot comment on what bands should or should not wear, as I often play shows with tuck;d and rolled Acid Washed jeans, puffy shirts and a members Only jacket...
