gigging debut

Lot of good gear to chose from . I belive ya need at least 300wats and 4x10 . you can allways turn down if ya need. how much pa support you have will influance what need , will ya play out doors much. I know alot af guys n gals gig with less. but you can not get a big boom if you need it with some of the smaller rigs. a lot of guys end up with two rigs.I hate to see a guy playing well and just not able to hear them. God bless Gig on!!

If you're only doing small stuff, a simple 15" or maybe 2X10 is probably good enough. You could go with either one and if you eventually move up to bigger stuff or just decide you want more, you can always add the other cab and have a nice stack. Personally though, I'd look for a good 2X12 (combo or otherwise).

+1 above got a 300w pv combo 1x15 sound pretty good fx loop xlr out x over and switchable eq if you need it will run a ext well. did not cost to much(but not a lowend cheepie) a little heavy but built like a tank, works well for me smaller gigs and backup did use it with a ext cab way louder and cleaner than I thought it would be. good little pice of gear God bless Gig on !!!

whoa i forgot about this thread, how small of gig are you using 300w for? my freind filled in on bass at a outdoor concert on the 4th of july and he only had a 100w and he said he only had it turned up to 6 and it was too loud then. does it depend on what your bandmates got?
