Gingerbread Men are a holiday treat made out of gingerbread cut into the shape of a man, usually with a cookie cutter that is commonly sold around holiday season. The cookies are almost always decorated with frosting and sometimes small candies in the shapes of eyes, mouths, coat buttons, and other humanly features.
A standard gingerbread man will look something like this:

Gingerbread Houses are a more intricate variation on the Gingerbread Man. They are constructed by using frosting to "glue" together pieces of gingerbread in the shapes of houses, and use a wider variety of candies for decoration such as spice drops and licorice. Models can vary in intricacy of design from something fairly basic like this:
