GK 1001RB with ampeg 810

I use to use the old gray strip 1001rb 540 watt head and wow the New 700 watt head is a Monster like you said blew my old head right off the stage when it come to volume ..Hell That Sucker Is Loud!!! Quite Unreal!!

Sounds good when ever I combo it. Only issue is with the head for me. The 810 handles some pretty good volume. I find that the 1001RB-II breaks up at high volume if not properly EQ'd. So, if my settings aren't perfect the tone goes away once I crank the volume. But otherwise its totally workable. I just prefer to use my tubes with the rig.

And in terms of 215s, I'd definitely think about adding one or getting one. It definitely adds some major low end to the 810.

^maybe the breakup sound is coming from the speakers ? I'm pretty sure the 1001rb11 has more power than the speakers in the 810 can handle.

I really like this combo, I been going through a Simon Gallop phase lately and I've got everything dailed in sounding really good, I also use a 'VT bass' but either way is good.
