I'm also 5'8" and one hand carry is not an issue for me either.

Compared to the single side strap handle on my Mesa Scout 15, the spring loaded handles are a delight!!!! :D

Not that big of a deal - but my specific issues with the spring-loaded handles:
Sometimes it's a pain to dig the damn things out from their little homes with one hand if you are in an awkward position.
If you carry the cab horizontally with both handles out it makes it wider - I've whacked my knuckles on door frames several times. Don't have this issue with my Rumble 115's which are the same width but have recessed handles. The Rumbles are bigger and slightly heavier though, so no easy 1-hand carry with them.

I like the recessed handles much better too, but have had no trouble of any kind with the GK spring-loaded ones - no rattles while playing, and solid enough for a one hand carry. I carry both of mine at one time and as bass cabs go, they are one of the lightest loads for the biggest sound I can think of.

I think when I weighed mine they were 28lbs each?
easy one handed carry, one in each hand, but, I'd much rather use my fold up hand truck

"returned them because they were wired out of phase"
that involves swapping two pull off spade terminals and swapping them; an under 5 minute job.
removing the rear input panels 6 screws is the longest part of that job.
your call tho of course.

I diagnosed the problem acoustically (it was very obvious) and could have easily done the rewiring, but the exchange at a local store was super convenient. Also, in the event of any potential future problem there would be no issue of "unauthorized technical work" being done. I tend to be overly cautious when anything is under warranty.

Now, if I would have needed to pack them up, ship them away, wait for weeks, etc., I would have done the repair in a nanosecond. The new set has treated me well and they sound 95% as good as anything else I own or have heard including boutique gear. GK has really set the bar high for value in terms of performance versus price at least in my opinion.
