Double Bass GK 200-MK versus GK 200-MB

Can anyone comment on the differences between old GK 200-MK (K is for keyboard?) and the 200-MB which many of us own or have owned and love?

My experience with playing upright through an amp that says it's for keyboards has generally been positive, which is why I ask. I have never fixed my broken 200-MB and am wondering if I could also consider a 200-MK as a replacement, all the more so because I play and teach many instruments and my 200-MB saw a fair amount of duty as an electric guitar amp in my teaching studio.

Although I never owned the 200MK, I purchased the 200ME extension, to use as second powered cabinet with my 200MB. It's identical to the MK, minus the pre amp section. In my experience with that cabinet, my recollection was, that since it had the tweeter, the cabinet's voicing had more midrange and less bass. I had mine modified, with a push switch, that allowed me to turn the tweeter off. Even when you did that, the cabinet didn't the same sound as the 200MB, not truly bad mind you, but not particularly great for DB. A local pianist, purchased the MK and used it for years. The MK's tone stack only has a treble and bass control, so the midrange sound is "baked into the amp" either you like it or you don't, because you can't alter it, with the controls on the 200MK. It's really a different sounding amp than the 200MB. Just my thoughts.
