I have recently purchased a GK 2001 RB and would like to know which side of the back of the head to connect the speakon cable. When looking at the back of the head, I currently have the cable connected to the min load on the right side. This is identified as input 12 in the manual. Should I have the speakon cable connected to either set of the inputs on the right which is closer to the plug and identified in the manual as 3? I'm really worried about messing this head up as it has so much going on with it. I'm running the head with the GK 4x12 Neo. Also any setting recommendations would be great as well. I'm playing rock music and need bottom end but would like the bass to cut through as well without sounding clanky. Thanks for any help and advice with this.

You have two speakons for each amp in dual mono mode. That means you can hook up your cab to either speakon of the left or right amp in dual mono. If you hook up to the right side amp make sure (#5) right level is full CW (to the right).
I would be more likely to use the left outputs, if you find you need more headroom all you would do is power down, place the rear switch to bridged and power back on (now 1080 watts rms). If you want to run in bridged would also have to switch your cab from the right channel to the left channel (do NOT use the right outputs in bridged mode). Both power amps are feed the same signal, they are not independent "channels".
Start experimenting with the "recommended settings" in the manual to get acquainted with what all those wonderful controls do.

I cannot think of a more cutting rig than that. I generally have the controls on my 1001 set close to flat with a bit of treble cut. I use the controls on my bass for tone dialing. That and playing style is where clank would come from.
