GK 800rb old/new??

thanks for resurrecting this old thread. I'm still waiting on Xtralongscale's review of the Jim Williams 800RB mods!

+1

W/the 100 watt section I then have a 3-15 rig for outdoors or larger indoor gigs w/o PA support. That's using high efficiency 15s, though.

My understanding is the 100 watt section can be easily modded to have the same specs as the 400RB, it's the same circuit sans two output transistors and a couple of resistors.

Man, I wish I could find an 800rb used here in Norway. The distributor won't order them until July (!) and they will cost a fortune, that is 9.995 NOK or 1747 USD. I have a 1001rb-II which gives me massive clean power and an MB500 as a portable backup/jam-amp. Still want an 800rb and I'll probably shell out me hardearned cash for one.

they come up used here on the TB classifieds quite often ranging anywhere from 250 to 350 US$. Nothing wrong w/what you have right now, though
