I own a GK backline 210 combo and am looking to add on a cab for more power. Can I use any cab or must it be a matching backline cab? Thanks

GK Backline 210 - extension cab

+1 What he said. Just make sure you get an 8 ohm cab so you don't drop the total ohm load on the head below 4.
I have the Backline 210 also and rather than lugging around an extra cabinet for more power, I swapped out the stock 16 ohm speakers for a pair of 8 ohm Eminence CA2010's with neo mag drivers. Now my amp is not only running at 300 watts instead of 180 (and it totally kicks BTW), it also weighs ten pounds less that it did before because of the neo mags. I'm not one of those who needs to have a stack of amps behind me to help me look cool. I'm pushing 50 years old and I'm at the stage of my life where it's more important to have to haul less (and lighter
) gear than it is to look cool with a wall of amps. But that's just me. A lot of people seem to rip on this little amp in this forum. I don't know why, as mine sounds great to my ears. Of course, I'm using it mainly as a power amp only with the EQ set totally flat with my VT Bass pedal in front of it for my tone.So the short version is: my J, my lighter and modded Backline 210, my VT Bass and I are quite pleased with ourselves at the moment, thank you very much...
With the backline 2x10 I'd suggest you go with the backline 1x15. It will make a good sounding stack, and look great. the prices are similar, i believe the 1x15 is going for about £150 on google shopping.
