GK Backline 600

Im thinking about getting a new amp and rig. Currently I'm using a 1x15 Carvin Combo. For the venues my band plays its usually plenty loud. However I'm thinking it maybe time to upgrade to a stack.
Guitar Center is advertising a GK Backline 600 with with a 4x10 with aluminum cones for 600. Anyone have any experience with these? Is it worth the buy? Pros/Cons?
I dont know much about amps and rigs, so any imput would be greatly appreciated.

The backline 600 is a great head. Check out my geeky review. A couple years later, the head is still going strong. I would only choose differently today if I wanted to pay more for the EA Micro 300.

A quality problem appeared on a run of these amps in 2006, but has been resolved.

where can i find your review? Also, is it a versatile amp? Im currently playing in a rock band , but i have a wide range in influences in music and would want something that could cover a wide array of styles in case in ever play in a different setting in the future. Thanks.

also not sure if ur aware... but they are overcharging you by a penny on that deal... the head costs 299.99 and the cab 299.99... add them up and you get 599.98... but they sell the package for 599.99 hence the extra penny haha ... i bet you could get a deal with them ask if theyll cut the price if you buy both at the same time ge it closer to 550... just my 2 cents if not i would demand that penny back rofl
