But yea, it's always horses for courses. What worked for me won't work for a lot of gigs.
That said... That amp has gone to Spaldo - who is cranking it with a much louder band.

i own the 115 also. found it a bit underpowered for cutting throw a five piece rock band in my situation. i had the thing dimed out and i don't like making my amps sweat as much as i do.
i liked the sound, since i didn't want to get rid of it, i keep it as a practice amp at home. a little over powered for my bedroom, but i just don't want to get rid of it.
as some have already pointed out, it's a good amp, but it depends on what your needs are. good luck!

...i used it on a big band gig on the weekend, Vin. They kept asking me to turn down

Here's a cheesy demo video done on a Sony Handycam, but you'll get an idea of what the amp was doing. It's an MB115 on a tilt back amp stand. Basses were a 92 MIM P-bass and a MM SR4HH. I had the gain about 10 o'clock and the master at about 11 o'clock. I wasn't in the PA. We were a little on the loud side for this venue, but it worked....

I chose the 115 over the 112 for the extra features and the larger speaker/more volume. For gigging, no question I would take the 115.

Who said 200 watts and 1-12 is a practice amp? you must like to practice really loud

why dont you get the new version of the mb112 its coming out this summer and you can hook up to the new powered cabs coming out this summer,the combinations are endless and theres no limit to how many cabs you hook up to the combo(problem solved) I am waiting on a GK MB112 that I ordered back in march,I will be able to use the combo alone for rehearsals and if need be hook up to the 112 powered cab or whatever size cab I want to for gigs if I need to!!!

I'm thinking of doing this very plan. I have a 500w MB212 right now and am eager to learn how a mb112 with an additional 112 compares (400w).

Actually the 112MBP (200W powered cabinet) will be the first powered cabinet we release.

My GK amp pecking order is,,,, the MB112 for rehearsals and gigs with 17 to 26 people in attendance,,,, 27 to 43 people in attendance I use my MB210,,,,44 to 78 people in attendance I use my MB210 and MBE115,,,, gigs with 79 to 123 people in attendance I use my GK MB500 head with Neo 410,,, 124 to 347 people in attendance I use my GK MB500 head with Neo 410 with my Neo 115,,, more than 347 people I just plug into the PA and use my MB112 as a monitor

My MB200 head stays in the truck as back-up in case something Im using blows up.
