GK MB112-II

I actually have 1 of each...MB212-ii and a Rumble rig....both are great solid amps and both have a purpose, for older stuff and blues i use the Rumble, modern rock, pop stuff I use GK. Do they sound the same...no, they are on opposites sides of the tonal spectrum, but having both gives me a ton of tone options.

Just picked one of these up used. Sounds great, but even in my living room I have to set the volume at least halfway up to get beyond a conversational volume. Is this anyone else's experience. When I go past 1/2 it gets loud fast, but I'm not used to having to turn anything up much past 1/4. Is this anyone else's experience.

I don’t think I’ve noticed that. I start with the gain at about 9-10, mater and boost at about noon. If I want a cleaner sound I’ll adjust the master. If I want an edgier tone, I’ll increase the boost and gain.
