Reviving this thread because I still have this amp and am taking it to an outdoor gig today, although over that last year or two I’ve mostly been favoring a smaller Markbass combo due to smaller stages and low stage volume needs. This old GK still sounds great, beastly volume and has never failed me. For about 12 years now I’ve taken this to tons of bar gigs, campgrounds, outdoor venues large and small, its hasn’t quit once.

I find to that the box pairs well with a hp/lp filter, I’ve done that on a few occasions and it really does sound like a different amp, tighter lows and the mids pop. I don’t keep one on my board so don’t do that regularly, but it’s worth a try if you have one.
