GK MBFusion 800 and Comp

I want to hook up a Empress comp to my fusion 800. What is the desirable way to go. Directly into the comp to the amp or in the send and return loop? Has anyone tried it both ways? The Empress can go either way.

Thanks...interesting read. I don't use any other effects so probably going into the send and return is best. His last sentence says "I'd suggest that rackmount comps are better for people who don't change their tone around a whole lot, or where your main use for compression is just peak limiting rather than sustain or a "squish effect".. This is what I want to use it for.
