Double Bass GK micro combo vs ?

I haven't played the MB110 but the MB115 is the worst GK amp I have ever used, not sure if it's the amp circuitry or the speaker but it overemphasizes the low end and the high end is veiled.

I've never found a small combo that I liked as much for DB as the MB150 or the earlier 200MB, except the old SWR Baby Blue which is much larger and heavier. The best small combos are more than 100 watts and $$$$...Acoustic Image.

In which way? What's better about it?
I had a 150S, and now have a 110. The 110 is just bigger sounding. My 150S sounded small and boxy, even with an extension cab it seemed "small". Fine enough for a little jazz trio. The 110 is a different beast altogether. Sure, it still aint gonna work in many situations, but the ports and better speaker (even though it's a 10") give it a much better sound. This is just my opinion, and using my bass, YMMV.

I came across an old SWR Baby Blue at my local music store... I am seriously tempted ;)

For many gigs my Markbass 121P combo does a more than acceptable job. I haven't found the Markbass heads work for upright all that well. HOWEVER! I just started experimenting with using my 121P using a different head. WOW! Good sounding upright box with a good head. I tried it with both my AI heads and using a few preamps going through the effects return on a few heads. All sounded good with my upright. (FullCircle pickup) I wish the Marbass heads were set up to have the effects return go directly to the power section.
I have an old MB200 that I've never liked for upright, but its very small. I've owned MB150's as well. Same thing. Much better when I've used a different preamp into the effects return. Ultimately it comes down to finding an amp that makes your bass sound how YOU like it to. We all have different ears.
