I have been playing my 700RBII through my Neo 4x10 and I'm getting ready to purchase the Fusion 550. I also want to get another cab but I'm stuck between either the Neo 1x15 or 2x12. I'm leaning towards the 2x12 as I think it would also make a great stand alone cab but I really want something to compliment my 4x10. Maybe I'm just stuck in my way of thinking but I have always felt the 4x10 and 1x15 stacks were the way to go. Is anyone running a 4x10 and 2x12 together? Are there any benefits of using one cab over the other when stacked with 4x10? I don't have a lot of experience with different speaker setups so I'm hoping to tap into the forums consensus.

GK Neo cab to compliment a Neo 4x10

My view depends on the basses you play. Generally, I agree with your inclination toward the 2x12, which in most cases would be a better standalone cab than the Neo115. I play mostly J-basses, and would definitely go 2x12, because the G-K Neo twelves have fantastic voicing for J's. (I have two of the Neo112's.) But if you play primarily P-basses, the Neo115 might be the better move for the most classic thump, whether as part of a larger rig or as a standalone. There's just something extra righteous about a P through a fifteen. I have some GAS for the new MB115 combo partly for this reason.
