Doesn't "Mean Time Before Failure" mean that 1/2 the units failed before reaching 20,000 hours? With some possibly failling in as little as 20 hours?

This is consumer electronics man.

This thing isn't going to fall from the sky and kill 200 people if it fails.

It's just a bass amp.

Buy the fan and put it in yourself. Pretty easy to do. Not much skill required.

Yep, too bad the service center charges 90.00 an hour to replace a fan. Please pay attention to the issue, not blame and finger pointing.... Just use a fan that last longer !

LOL, FWIW: I think the same thing every time I have to replace a light bulb (why don't they last longer).

Seriously - I understand your frustration.

Anyway, just out of curiosity, what did you end up doing - did you replace the fan yourself (stay away from the power supply) or have the repair shop do it? Thanks
