Double Bass GK vs. Markbass

Has anybody A/B'ed a Gallien-Krueger MB150 against a Markbass Mini CMD 121P?

I have a potential line on both - the Markbass is new (for under $1K) while the GK is used (price: tba).

I'm looking for a good general purpose combo - I'm not a rawk'n'roller but looking for something that won't get drowned out by a small ensemble (w/ drummer & percussionist).

Thanks in advance!

Both are good enough
As well as good level make sure that your speaker accommodates your strings I.e
If you use a four string you need at least 40HZ & if you have a five string you need at least 30HZ, then you should be moving air in a good way.
But that is just my opinion :0)

I like them both. The Markbass will undoubtedly be louder. Its about double the wattage. The MB150 is a very natural sounding combo especially when you step away from it. Depends on what you are looking for. If its going to be your only amp I might lean towards the Mini CMD just because of its versatility and power.
