I play rock, Jazz and would like to try classical but I'm a very bad reader. Anyone's tips to impove my skills?

To read you have to read a lot. Carry some standard notation sheet music with you and read when ever you have some spare time. Identifying the fly speck in the same time it would take you to say your first name is step one.

Hey, 1st off, Welcome to TB! I agree with Malcolm, the more you read sheet music the better you get at it. I spent my 1st 7 years playing music reading sheet music. Piano, Trumpet and bass. I am long out of practice with it but I can still read it. The difference now is that I have to think about it a little but with practice and a little time i'm sure it wouldn't be a problem to get back up to speed. And thats it in a nutshell, practice it. You'll get it.

Thanks for your advice. I'll tell you how it goes. I suppose reading a piano sheet is more difficult, so you may have found it easier to get if you learned the piano first.
