glitchy crybaby 105q wah

all my gear got sunk when the basement got flooded due to mad rains. thankfully everything came back to life after a couple of days of drying out. but this crybaby has been glitchy ever since

i suspected a change in its sound right away but that wasnt all. it doesnt turn off at all times, its supposed to go off when i leave it but occasionally it wont and it'd give me this really low wah stuck at a point sound which am starting to hate now. can i fix it?
the actual mechanism doesnt get stuck, it goes up complete every time. its just the switching which is glitchy.

i was also wondering if there is any other wah i can look at besides the weeping demon in a sub US120-140$ range?

Most people here will tell you that the 105Q is a great wah and it's probably the best you can get in the price range.

If you were happy with it before it got wrecked, you should probably just replace it.

I agree that if you were happy with it before it broke, just get it replaced (if under warranty) or get a new one.

That said, I most definitely prefer the Weeping Demon to the 105Q.

take it to a tech... but probably it will be more easy to replace it if you liked the pedal before the "accident"

I love my 105q, so +1 for just getting another if yours cannot be fixed.

I'd say don't waste your time. Just bite the bullet and buy another. You could find one in the GC classifieds for $40 easy.

cant really go ahead and just buy another one right away. they cost double the money here am thinking about buying a weeping demon, looking for clips right now

Try super gluing a small, thin piece of plastic to the rubber heel of the pedal that acts as a shim to depress the switch. It has to be small enough to fit in the hole without touching the sides. A small piece from a medium gauge pick should be more than enough.

Look closely at the switch in Vic's picture above.

Mine got glitchy too from just use, and wouldn't turn off, same sound description as yours. I called Dunlop and a bench repair on the switch was about 50 bucks, plus shipping.
I ended up fixing it myself, I think I was able shim the switch up a little...been three years ago and flawless since.
