Going for walks, seeing some cool cars.

Just as the sightings seemed to be tapering off, I came across this stunner today. The striped seats are awesome, and the valve stem caps are black dice with white dots. That's attention to detail. It's begging to be driven to Paisley Park!
I've got a real soft spot for the square body GM trucks...... between my wife and I, we've owned over a dozen of them in pickup and Blazer configuration. We've still got one, a 79 Blazer with a 454, one ton axles and 44" Super Swampers.
Judging by the grille and headlight trim, that particular one you posted is a 1979.
Yep, I've not owned one, but these are great looking trucks. I am fond of the stepside versions of these years.
This thread has been dormant for awhile, but I feel compelled to post additional unusual metallic purple goodness, which lies at the polar opposite end of the spectrum from that awesome VW Beetle. Behold this Rolls-Royce Cullinan, which starts at $332,750. I spoke to the driver, who works for the owner, and told me this is one of many high-end cars in the collection.
A guy near my house has an 86 Camry in near mint condition. It's amazing. I'm not into cars but I love the longevity of Toyotas and Hondas. I've never actually seen it on the road but I bet it runs great. I'd love to talk to the guy and ask him what motivated him to keep it pristine all these years.
Maybe he OCD and just as anal as I am about keeping his stuff looking as close to new as possible. Sometimes I think of it as a curse as some of my friends even tease about it.
My 2017 Corolla is in worse cosmetic condition than his 1986 Camry. In the last twelve years, I've gotten four car washes on the day I returned each three year lease.

I guess it is much tougher to keep a car looking good in the Northeast compared to the Southwest without a lot of effort.
My 71 Opel Gt which I sold just a few years ago.
People do love to wash their cars here. In normal times, car washes always have lines. I just can't be bothered.
Fender skirts on a pickup......is this cool?
That aint sayin' much. lol That whole era was an embarrassment for American car production.

The salt absolutely kills cars. My first Karmabn Ghia was a daily driver in the late 80s. I finally had to get rid of it when the floor plan had more rust on hand metal. I have another now. As soon as the first snow hits (and the roads get salted), it goes in the garage for the winter.
