Going for walks, seeing some cool cars.

During the lockdown, I try to take one long walk every day, often with my wife during her breaks from work. To my surprise, I've happened upon some extremely cool vintage cars right here in downtown Philly, so I figured I'd post them here. Anybody else see surprisingly cool cars on their sanity-preservation walks during the lockdown? Let's see 'em!

First is a late 1960s Thunderbird with suicide doors, which reminds me of my late grandfather's 1966 Lincoln convertible. Next is, I believe, a 1960s Eldorado. Pretty sweet rides.

That Opel Manta was fun (manual 4 speed), but had engine problems after only 1 year.
At the time, My Dad owned the Celica parked behind it, (also manual), and I really preferred driving it!
(Although I think the Manta was much better looking.)

I wouldn't mind a vintage Celica either...

A freind of mine had one in the mid '80s. Sadly I think by now most of them have turned to dust or consist of a collection of holes connected by rust

I don't know about TB, but i've had that happen on other sites when posting pics directly from an iPhone. The solution was to make any edit (crop, auto enhance, anything) and save it. Somehow that fixes the orientation issue.

My dad had a '77 Regency, which was miles better than his '73 Regency (which was a truly sucky car). He also had a '67, IIRC (I was little) and that was a cool car.

Saw this in Bethany Beach, Delaware the other day. It tugged at the heartstrings, because my grandfather had one of these in light metallic green, and I have fond memories of driving it, in particular before my cousin's (first) wedding back in the 1980s. My brother and I drove around town, top down, with our cousins' relatives on their other side, who were very attractive young ladies about our age. This generated lots of attention in the small town in Southern Illinois.

My uncle finally sold it about 20 years ago. If we had lived in the suburbs, I would have taken it myself and restored it to glory. I believe the tops operate with no less than 32 electric motors!
