Going to college today...

Balance your studies and your personal life...don't go too far in either direction. It's a balancing act that leaves many people dropping out or leaving after their first year.

Good luck man. I moved into my apartment almost a month ago, frosh week finally starts tomorrow.
^^ That night I ended up meeting up with some people from Queen's over Facebook and we went out to a couple of pubs...I couldn't sleep at all when I got home, so I did the entire day of frosh activity (15 hours long, 8:30am to 11:30pm) with no sleep and only 1 coffee around 2:30pm.

It was still lots of fun, met a lot of cool people and learned how to play Texas Hold 'Em, an essential life skill that I had been missing up until then.

I remember being pretty nervous the day I moved in, but as soon as I got there I knew it felt right and I was ready to do it. I just can't believe it's been 25 years already (I started i nthe fall of 1982 ...) :crying:

Congratulations, dive in head first, and experience all you can (within reason.... ;) ). Going away to college is a great learning experience both in and out of the classroom.

First class down, looks like Intro to Acting will be fun... although there are some weirdos in the class (it's a given), but at least next year the people who can't handle the class will be weeded out (you need at least 70% and an "audition" to be invited back for your third year of studies.

I've got stage management class next... frightening.
