These are strings for upright double basses, which have a scale length around 41". I think it's really a "No Go" for 20" to 25" instrument. They might work as guitar strings

I'm selling mine. I already have the Ubass and I find this so similar that I only need one. It's a great instrument but I've had the Ubass longer and have become more attached to it.
Hey everybody, first post here. I have a 23" Gold Tone MicroBass. I wanted to try the Pahoehoe Dreads Std Set 22.5" to 24" scale for longer scale Solid Body and Semi-Hollow Basses. Does anybody have a picture with these strings on their bass, I'm just curious to see how they look on the MicroBass. Thanks.
I have the Pahoehoe yellows and I find them to be too neon for me, so I'm waiting for a set of Weedwacker clears and test them. The smoothness on the Pahoehoe is much better than the Aquila Thunderguts and Reds.

I don't mind the black Pahoehoe, but I have black strings on my Les Paul conversion and I wanted a more traditional look for my GT since it's acoustic, all mahogany and I'll be playing it with my ukulele group, makes it look like a big ukulele. I sure hope the Weedwackers work since I'll be cutting them down to size.
No problem with mine. I added a shim under the pickup and strung it up once and it didn't play. I pushed down on it and tried to move it back and forth and it came back on and has worked since. Maybe try putting pressure and moving yours around and see if it improves.
Please let us know how they work out. I have a set I previously bought for my upright but I never got around to installing them. I wonder if they might be a bit of a problem on such a short scale.
