As a newbie on this forum I've yet to try this forum's search function on this topic but I'm guessing there's some old threads on the subject around here somewhere. I have seen a few of these golf bag conversions over the years at various outdoor jams but, personally, those bass buggies look to be a little better designed.

Another vote for the Bass Buggie. You can wheel the bass very easily and it can be used w/o the case on the bass. Also the bass can be played w/ it on as well. A real boon for those outdoor location, to location, to location jobs and/or festivals. Just wheel it over & keep playin!

A whole lot lighter and smaller than those golf carts as well.

I bought an SKB hardshell golf case at a yard sale for $15, thinking I could just put my Azola biugbass in its padded soft case inside- but the golf case turned out to be a few inches short :-(

If you *do* find a hardshell case that your bass fits in, buy a sheet of 3M microcell foam- say something around 6" thick. Cut out chunks to support your bass and glue them in to the base.
