I've seen pictures before but was wondering if anyone can give me details on what's entailed..

Before you go to all that work, check out the KC Strings Bass Buggie. I'm still quite happy with mine, though I have to remove it in order to fit the bass in my car.
Another vote for the Bass Buggie. You can wheel the bass very easily and it can be used w/o the case on the bass. Also the bass can be played w/ it on as well. A real boon for those outdoor location, to location, to location jobs and/or festivals. Just wheel it over & keep playin!
A whole lot lighter and smaller than those golf carts as well.
