Nice find, I love antique books. What book was it?

I still find very old Philo Vance books at very reasonable prices. I have a pretty good collection.

Oh man I would love a hardware synth! All I got at home are the software synths in Cubase. The music lab has a couple dozen rack Korg Tritons. I don't know if they make those anymore. I would kill for one of those. They make me swoon.

there's no device these days that you could stick a whole assortment of softsynth vsts and have a whole set of generic parameter controls so you could play them off a physical rack? I mean......not all synths are that complex. Give me a controller that can handle volume, six (anymore than that and you've been off the deep end a while) oscillators with their own ADSRs, a few customization controls (linkable to anything), and a preset switching pair of buttons.......and that would be awesome.

This was a small book of poetry by Enos Mills, who was a naturalist from the late 1800's who helped create the Rocky Mountain National Park. At the time, I did a little cursory research and found a small museum that has preserved his cabin in the park and I asked them if they would like to have it for their archives. The cabin was closed for the season when we were in Colorado last month, but I hope to someday visit my little book!

Curious how Japanese "gomi" became US English.

I'm not sure if "gomi" is used by others in the U.S. I read about gomi piles in Japan some time ago and liked the word. I tend to borrow words from other languages or even make up words. Not always the best way to communicate but still fun.
