I'm not going to make this a long post because I am tired. Just wanted to say that I saw two great bass players last night. I've seen Michael League several times; we were late to the show so only got to see him do a handful of songs before they turned the stage over. Great as always.
At that point I was blessed and honored to be in the front row with a clear view of the great Freddie Washington. A little slice of heaven for me to hear and watch him with the group of world class players that is the touring version of Steely Dan. I have learned a bunch of those songs and watching him make it look so effortless, you really know when you're in the presence of greatness.
Fabulous show!
