I'm planing to build me a 12V-to-9V converter. I've seen there are some low priced components available on the model train market.

Unfortunately, what doesn't work is the MyVolts 5V USB-C-to-9V converter. The USB-C output can easily charge phones, tablets, and even provide power to my MacBook Air, but it doesn't work with any 9V effects tried.
(The MyVolts USB-C converter was still a good investment though, as it now allows me to run the HX Stomp by using either my iPad or MacBook charger, rather than the subpar Line6 OEM charger for EU.)

I use a Songbirdfx USB to 9v converter and it works great, even for a tube buffer that requires 300ma.

It has, albeit only on channel 1.
That was one of the major factors why I've chosen it over the others, because it lets me plug the Tech21 QStrip as an analog "quick EQ" on that channel if needed, without having to use a 9V battery.

However, now that I've tested bas(s)ically all of my basses with the Everse, this little thingie just makes every bass that I own sound good literally right "out of the box". Even my trusty old fretless Eko ABG which has a very crappy piezo in it as installed by the previous owner and which was always a p.i.t.a. to dial in a good sound on any other amplification I've used so far. I only added some compression, rolled off the treble and enabled "Bass Guitar" mode on the channel, "Live" mode on the master, and voilà.

Sorry to ask, but are you sure it is 48V and not 12V?

I see it is 48V. And you can control the preamp from an app on your phone, fascinating.
So just this and 1 cable, regardless if I use a mic or pickup for the occasion. At below 8 kgs.
Now I will try to look up the input impedance...

Now, if the Everse had 48V phantom power, I could not not buy it. But I guess its 12V output could run my Rolls 48V supply...

Jokes aside, on Friday we've premiered the Everse and went busking down to the Rhein river. We asked a barkeeper if we can play for his guests outside. I played my Eko ABG (because it was sometimes raining so I didn't want to make my DB wet), and the guitarist's vocals were on the other channel. He played through his own small Roland amp. The drummer's self-made suitcase drums were not amplified. All three of us came by bicycle, by the way.
I asked the listeners if they are happy with the way everything sounds, and they were.
The remote app mixer is also brilliant.
