Good Budget 5 String Basses

Hey guys, I'm getting a part-time job soon hopefully on Saturday mornings, and I'm hoping it's going to pay fairly well :) But anyway, I'm looking to get my third bass in the next few months, and I would like to get a five string bass. Is there any 5 stringers that could play anything from Cannibal Corpse to Jaco? My budget is £300-400. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance, :):bassist:

I wouldn't buy a new 5-String without checking out an ESP LTD B-105

I own one and I love it. The tone is great. I had to do a little creative set-up work (had to shim the neck) to get the action where I like it, but I like my action very low.

This bass is pretty cheap and it's considered entry level, but I find myself using it more often than not because of the play-ability and tone.

Just my $.02

I don't know how much 400# is in $ but I just bought a SBMM Ray35 for $620 delivered from Musicians Friend...

dude, this is one bad actor...great value for a killer axe...

I'm thinking that may be somewhat over your budget, but I would urge you to consider it...

34" scale with a B string that is solid
