I rarely or never use a pick. I slap and pop every once in a while. Mostly I play finger style. What are some good strings for fingerstyle playing?

I love the way DR Highbeams feel. They have a nice texture, but can be a little too flexable if you don't have a light touch. If you dig in a lot, and play a bit harder, check out DR lowriders. They are another really great finger playing string.

I strike the string a little harder than i should, which causes "fweebage." Even when I'm playing straight eigth notes like AC/DC's old bassist, Cliff. So I'll probably see if I can get my hands on some DR lowriders. Thanks!

  5. DR Highbeams are what I use on my Fender 51P RI. Good overall tone. Nice feel.

Lowriders will have kickbut lowend but not much in the mids section.

I heard that if you dig in too hard when you pluck that it can lead to carpal tunnel. Is this true?
