Double Bass Good folding bass stools?

I found the seat would slowly slip down from its initial height during rehearsal, needing regular re-seating. I'm about 190 pounds, so this should not be happening. I think the design (rubber rollers or rings) is flawed and the rubber parts will need refurbishing/replacing as time goes on.

The reviews on Amazon are mixed with many reviewers complaining of that. Mine's working fine so far

One of the bass players in my daughter's orchestra uses an ironing stool! Not sure how it would stand the rigours of the more hefty among us, but they are out there and probably at a fraction of the cost of essentially the same thing from a specialist music stockist...
Have that one too. Sits great but it squeaks a lot. Therefore it is not suitable for recording or symphony orchestra's.......
I use one when portability is needed. Not terribly comfortable, but it is adjustable and doesn't squeak or anything. It was like $12.
