GK too dirty? GK (and I've owned a few) is pretty darn clean and "mid-rangish" to my ears anyway.
It's just about as clean as my beloved EA gear and the MarkBass heads that I've tried.
If you keep the "drive" function at a reasonable level, the GK can be just about as pristine clean as any amp out there in my opinion. When you do want a little "grit" that's also very easy to get with the GK.
Different strokes for different folks I guess!
Good luck.
